The Most Important Question

Plan of Salvation

Do you know where you will spend eternity?

God loves you. That is where it all begins.

The Bible says that God loved you before you ever thought of Him. His love is not based on what you have done or who you are. It is based entirely on who He is. He demonstrated that love in the most costly way imaginable.

“Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.”

1 John 4:10

He loved you so much, He was willing to prove it by giving His life for you.

The Way to Eternal Life

Five Truths That Will Change Your Life

1

You Have Fallen Short of God's Holy Standard

Every person who has ever lived, apart from Jesus Christ, has sinned. Sin is not just the things we do but the condition we are born into. It is any thought, word, or action that falls short of God's perfect standard. That includes every one of us.

“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”

Romans 3:23
2

You Have a Debt That Must Be Paid

Sin is not something God overlooks. It carries a penalty. The wage, or consequence, of sin is death, both physical death and eternal separation from God. No amount of good works, religion, or effort can settle that debt. It must be paid.

“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Romans 6:23

Notice that same verse also contains the most important word in the Bible: gift. Eternal life cannot be earned. It can only be received.

3

Christ Has Settled Your Debt

This is the heart of the gospel. Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, became a man. He lived a perfect life, died on the cross to pay the penalty for your sin, was buried, and rose again on the third day. His resurrection proves that the debt is paid in full. Death could not hold Him.

“For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.”

1 Corinthians 15:3–4
4

You Can Make Jesus Your Savior Today

Salvation is not something you work toward. It is something you receive by faith. The Bible is clear about what saving faith looks like: confessing Jesus as Lord and believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead.

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”

Romans 10:9

This is not a decision to be taken lightly, but it is one you can make right now. Repentance means turning from your sin and from your own efforts to save yourself. Faith means placing your complete trust in Jesus Christ alone.

5

Call Upon the Lord and Be Saved

The promise of God is for anyone who will come to Him. There is no sin too great, no past too dark, no person too far gone. If you will call upon the Lord in genuine faith, He promises to save you. That is not a church's promise. That is God's promise.

“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

Romans 10:13

You can call upon Him right now. Admit that you are a sinner. Believe that Jesus Christ died for your sins and rose again. Trust Him alone as your Savior. He will save you. He promised.

You will never regret that decision.

If you have just trusted Christ, we would love to hear about your decision and give you a Bible and some materials to help you learn more about that new relationship with Him.
